NEW CD Released

The new CD Same Train has been released on the newly formed Marcum Records with National distribution. This CD has given Keith Marcum the opportunity of returning to the Country and Gospel roots of his youth. The first single is a beautiful and inspiring song titled, “Shine On,” which has already been released to radio. The follow up song slated for release is called, “Where Angels Fly,” and has a breath-taking video already shot that keeps you drawn in from the opening scene to the final credits.

Keith’s parents were both raised on a farm with Dad growing up near Brookville, Indiana, and Mom in Jackson County, Kentucky. Keith sang his first solo in church at the age of 13 and will never forget the feeling of people being touched from hearing the music. Even before graduating from high school he began studying voice and music theory with the goal of singing classical music. Keith quickly discovered neither college life, nor classical music were part of his future and left his pursuit of a musical career with no intention of ever returning.

A beautiful Christian girl named Linda who was a blind date, replaced the void in his heart that was left from leaving music. Linda and Keith fell in love and were married three months after meeting. God has blessed them with two wonderful sons, Nathanael and Jeremiah.

Many years have passed since that first church solo, and Keith never thought God had any plan for him to work for Him through music. Keith says, “He still has plans in store for me.” The past two years of his returning to music have amazingly afforded him the opportunity to both open for and sing with some of the most prestigious groups in Gospel music.

Many people want to know who Keith Marcum sounds like? Keith’s answer is, “I guess I really don't think about it, but I do know who my favorite artists were as a boy.” “I remember listening for hours to Elvis and the Country legends Marty Robbins and Johnny Cash. I am sure my music has been influenced by those talented artists.”

Keith wants to reach out through his music and touch those in need of Spiritual encouragement and give them a chance to take a minute to sit back, look around and see the good things that may be right in front of them.

A minister that has gone to be with the Lord was often quoted saying: “Many things will come and pass… but only what's done for Christ will last.” Keith says, “I believe I am His and He is mine.”
